Patchworks lets you embed PHP scripts inside flows to do work the standard shapes can't, custom transformations, complex branching, calculated fields, payload normalisation. The scripts are tiny but the gotchas are subtle: payload shapes, return types, logs.

PatchScript is the browser-based editor where we write and test these scripts. It uses Claude to suggest functions, refactor logic, add null-safety, and explain what an existing script does. Output and Xdebug inspection live next to the code, so debugging stays in one place.

PatchScript predates PatchBuddy.ai by about a year. It's still around because it does its one job well, and because it's free.
